Materials of Music (MUSC 1203)
A team taught course that provides an overview of academic music theory and basic skills, including review of basic terms and materials, counterpoint and harmonic skills. The course combines systems, terms and approaches from both classical and jazz repertoires. Classes include large-group lectures, labs and extensive skill-building testing. 1103 = 3:1:0, 1203 = 3:0:1

Prerequisites
Basic Theory of Music 1003 or equivalent. For entrance into 1203, a score of 80% or higher on the rudiments section of the 1103 final exam in required. No schedule is currently available. Please check again later.
