Lost Wax Carving and Casting (JEWL 1118)
Learn one of the oldest techniques for crafting jewellery. This course introduces students to wax carving and the lost wax casting process for rings or pendants. Students will learn about designing, wax carving methods and tools, spruing, investing, casting, and finishing sterling silver. Some basic metalsmithing techniques will also be covered.
