Psychology 12 Part 1 (PSYC 0981)

Psychology 0981 is a survey course examining the broad field of psychology. In this course, topics include critical thinking and the scientific method as it relates to the field of psychology and an overview of the discipline. This course introduces students to evolution and genetics, the human brain, biological rhythms and states of consciousness, sensation and perception, development through the lifespan, psychological disorders and approaches to therapy and treatment. PSYC 0981 and PSYC 0991 can be taken in either order. Both PSYC 0981and PSYC 0991 are required for completion of ABE Provincial level Psychology. Course Pre-requisites: Completion of or current enrollment in English 11 or equivalent. This course is part of the ABE Graduation Program Certificate.
