Good luck to VCC's 2025 Skills BC competitors

This year’s provincial Skills Canada BC competition is taking place on Wednesday, April 16 at the Tradex in Abbotsford. Over 600 students will be competing in the trades competition. The annual event is free and open to the public, and the exhibition hall will have display booths for elementary and middle school students to explore what a career in the trades industries could look like.
Dennis Innes, president of Skills Canada B.C.'s board and the dean of VCC's School of Hospitality, Food Studies, and Business, spoke to CBC's On The Coast host Gloria Macarenko about what to expect at the competition and the opportunities that exist for those looking to start a career in the trades.
Join us in wishing our VCC teams good luck in showing their skills and competencies against other trades schools across the province.
