VCC campuses to exhibit red dresses to honour missing and murdered Indigenous women

We at VCC would like to show our support for our relations to the south on the resolutions in the US Senate and House to designate May 5 as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

During National Week of Action for MMIWG (April 29 - May 5) VCC’s Indigenous Education and Community Engagement (IECE) department will share information about this event on the VCC - Indigenous Education public Facebook group. On Thursday, May 5, VCC will exhibit various single red dresses at both the Broadway and Downtown campus to generate conversation.

The VCC community is also invited to wear read on this day to honour missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
