Happy Year of the Dragon!
The Lunar New Year celebration at VCC will happen on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown campus and on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Broadway campus.
Join us at the VCC Downtown (Atrium) or the VCC Broadway (Building B event space) campuses for spring rolls prepared by the VCC Asian Culinary Arts department, red envelopes with candies, fortune cookies, and refreshments. Come to see the Lion Dance performance at the VCC Downtown campus.
The Lunar New Year marks the first new moon of the lunisolar calendars traditional to many East Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, and South Korea. This is one of the most important holidays for members of many East Asian communities.
We invite everyone to take this opportunity to learn more about the rich culture and heritage of Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean communities and their significant contributions to our society.
