As we continue to celebrate and recognize Indigenous culture during National Indigenous History Month, we are thrilled to host a cooking session with VCC Culinary Arts alum, Chef Paul Natrall. Known as "Mr. Bannock", Chef Natrall will teach participants who to make bannock. All are welcome to join.

Mr. Bannock is a fully owned and operated Indigenous Business from the Squamish Nation. With the help from Squamish Nation Trust and Vancity, We have our catering company and was able to purchase Vancouvers 1st Indigenous Food Truck Mr. Bannock. Owner and operator Chef Paul Natrall is a second generation Chef, his great grandfather Andrew Natrall was a Red Seal chef trained in the army. Natrall has been specializing in Indigenous Cuisine since 2010 and is very excited to share and showcase his fusion style dishes with the city of Vancouver.

Ingredients for 'basic' bannock for 2 people:

  • 3 cups of floor
  • 3 tbsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp salt
