Indigenous Emergency Assistance Bursary

The Indigenous Emergency Assistance Bursary is available for VCC students who identify as Canadian Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Indigenous).

Details:
If your application is successful, your bursary will first be applied to any outstanding tuition. Bursary funds or remaining bursary funds will be made available as an e-transfer.

How to apply:
Complete the following application form in full. Applications that are missing information may result in a delay in processing of your application.

You will be notified of your application status by email. If your application is not approved, you are able to appeal this decision with a written statement of why you feel you should receive the bursary. Appeals will be reviewed by the Associate Director, Indigenous Education and Community Engagement and the Dean, Indigenous Initiatives.

  1. Vancouver Community College collects the information on this form under the authority of the College and Institute Act [RSBC 1996, Ch. 52, S. 41.1]. Indigenous Education and Community Engagement (should this not also fall under the Registrar, Admissions, and Records?) will use and disclose the information to review, process, and award bursaries to eligible students in compliance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act [RSBC 1996, Ch. 165]. Any information disclosed in this application is subject to audit and you may be asked to provide proof of any expenses or income listed in the application.
