What is a Dual Credit?

Vancouver Community College and some Lower Mainland school districts have partnered to create opportunities for you to get a head start on your post secondary program.

The Dual Credit program provides high school students with the opportunity to take one or more VCC courses during your final years of high school and use those course credits towards your post-secondary education and your high school graduation requirements.

The Dual Credit program is an excellent opportunity to help you transition from high school to post secondary while earning both high school graduation and post secondary credits. Studying at VCC gives you access to various student support services that help prepare you for the post secondary experience.

Speak with your school district's Career Programs staff to see if the Dual Credit program is offered at your school. Your application process begins in grade 11 with courses taken in your grade 12 year.
