  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
  • English 12 with a minimum 'C+' grade or equivalent
  • English Language Proficiency assessed at English 12 'C+'
  • Pre-calculus 12 with a minimum 'B' grade or equivalent

General

  • Seats are offered to applicants who have met all admission requirements, on a first-qualified, first-served basis.
  • International applicants must be 17 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school. (Some exceptions may apply.)
  • Applicants must submit official transcripts and educational documents as required by their course or program.
  • All VCC applicants are required to function successfully in an English-speaking classroom. English requirements vary by program. For details, visit VCC International - English Requirements.   

Recommended Characteristics

  • Proficient in the English language with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Creative, motivated and positive attitude towards learning.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Interested in emerging technologies and the technology sector.
  • Familiar and comfortable using VR headsets.

Courses *

Term 1 of this program will run Monday to Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, excluding elective courses. Terms 2 and 3 are offered at Vancouver Film School and will likely be Monday to Friday, complete registration information will be provided by VFS upon registration. Term 4 is a Practicum and will be based on practicum placement. 

Prior learning assessment and recognition

Yes. PLAR is available for CMPT 1030 and CMPT 1040 after discussion with the department leader and review of the student's portfolio.
