Withdraw from a Course or Program
Withdrawing from your program or dropping courses
You can withdraw from a course or program before the withdrawal deadline. If you withdraw, you will have a Withdrawal (W) grade entered on your transcript to show an official withdrawal has taken place.
To withdraw, submit the course-add-drop-form.pdf (PDF) to records@vcc.ca or email your formal request to records@vcc.ca.
Refunds
Refunds are calculated based on the date the written request for withdrawal is received. Refunds for most VCC programs are calculated using the following guidelines. Please see the Tuition and Fee Refund Policy for more information. For Continuing Studies and Apprentice programs, see the Tuition and Fee Refund Procedures for details.
Tuition Refund *: 100% of tuition paid

Student Fees Eligible for Refund | 100% of College Initiative Fees, Materials Fees, Laundry Fees, Campus Resource Fees, and UPass Fees (future nonactivated months only) |
Tuition Refund *: 50% of tuition paid
Deadline for Written Notification | Up to and including the fifth (5th) business day from the start date of the program/course |
Student Fees Eligible for Refund | 100% of UPass Fees (future non-activated months only) |
Tuition Refund *: no refund
