Former Youth in Care Tuition Waiver

Young people leaving foster care now have access to free tuition. 

This funding program waives tuition fees to former youth in care attending post-secondary.

Who can apply?

Students must be:

  • Living in British Columbia
  • Aged between 19 to 26 years (inclusive)
  • Have been in care for at least 24 months

How to apply?

  1. Apply to your program of choice at VCC
  2. Download and complete the application form, and
  3. Bring the complete form to the VCC Financial Aid office
