Over the years, the PDO has worked with a diverse range of community and industry-based project partners.  In working together, we take a shared ownership and engagement approach to co-create innovative projects that meet common goals. At the start, we seek to understand the needs of the labour market, community, and the priorities of our partners. From there, we work together to design and deliver customized projects that keep the learners as the key focus. In our work, we strive to be responsive, customer service-driven, and adaptable to diverse needs.

Our projects aim to reduce barriers and provide learners with improved access to the labour market, community, and further post-secondary education. We prioritize projects that align with VCC’s values, goals, and educational offerings. 

We have expertise in designing projects for diverse students such as new immigrants, youth, mature workers, persons with disabilities, and indigenous persons who may experience barriers to engaging in traditional post-secondary education.

Each project is designed to meet the unique needs of the learners and budget requirements. We take a care-based approach — our projects include highly engaged instructors, small class sizes, student coaching, and wraparound supports.

We are open to various forms of partnership.  In many cases, we create and deliver projects as the primary delivery partner while utilizing the expertise of our project partners in various ways throughout the project.  We can also be a training delivery partner or sub-contractor for other organizations.

We have expertise using a range of funding sources through government, education, and industry funders.
