Projects
The VCC Foundation oversees annual fundraising and recognition events and year-round giving opportunities.
Your donation provides students with financial stability through bursaries and scholarships, or through investments that provide VCC with new equipment and upgraded facilities.
Flourish is the VCC Foundation’s annual fundraising event. It's an opportunity for departments to demonstrate their unique offerings and for the community to gather for an evening of food and wine. The gala raises money to provide scholarships, bursaries, awards, and new technology to empower students as they change their lives through real learning and hands-on education.
Scholarships, bursaries, and awards are made possible through the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations who want to ensure students have fewer financial barriers on their educational journey. Student awards also provide encouragement and incentive to strive for academic excellence.
- Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement.
- Bursaries provide students with financial aid.
- Awards honour student excellence based on criteria created by the donor including academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement.
We work with donors to tailor selection criteria that reflect their objectives and interests.
Two levels of funding donors can contribute to establishing a scholarship, bursary, or award.
- Named Endowed Awards
For a donation of $20,000 or more, your investment becomes a permanent asset of VCC Foundation. The award fund may be named for you or in honour/memory of a family member, friend, organization, or colleague.

An endowed award fund must be invested for a least one year before recipients are selected for an award. Donors may also choose to provide an additional contribution to begin the award without delay.
- Named Annual Awards
A donor makes a gift each year in the amount of the award. A minimum annual gift of $500 is required and must be pledged for at least three terms.
This fund is in place to support students facing unplanned financial hardship.
With your help, we offer hampers with fresh food, school supplies, health and personal hygiene products three times a year to Indigenous students. Each hamper ranges in value from $100 - $250.
