President's message: Iranian protests

President

A message from VCC president Ajay Patel

Dear VCC community,

For nearly two weeks, I, like many of you, have watched the protests and violence in Iran, in response to the death of Mahsa Amini, escalate with deep sadness and concern.

At VCC, our values are deeply rooted in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. I want to extend my support to our Iranian international students, our Iranian-Canadian students, and VCC employees who may be struggling with being far from their families and loved ones in Iran right now.

For any VCC students who may need additional support, please connect with our counselling staff. Resources for staff and faculty are also available through myVCC/Human Resources.

This is an important time to come together as a community. I encourage us all to support and be kind to one another.
