VCC Outstanding Alumni Award winners 2015
Vancouver Community College (VCC) has named the latest round of winners of its prestigious 2015
Outstanding Alumni Awards.
The latest in a long line of VCC alumni that have made significant contributions to their industries and communities, honourees represent five distinct categories plus a Lifetime Achievement Award added in the spirit of VCC 50th anniversary. Each winner has distinguished themselves with unique stories of success, inspiration, and dedication.
This year's award winners include:
Robert N. Brady (Honorary Alumnus)
Retired VCC instructor and department head.
Heavy duty industry expert, author
and longtime volunteer.
John Carlo (JC) Felicella (Changemaker)
VCC culinary instructor, award-winning chef,
international culinary competitor and
dedicated student mentor.
Amber Anderson (Community Contribution)
Giving back to the community
as Executive Director of
HAVE Culinary Training Society.
Rick Hatswell (Career Success)
COO of Craftsman Collision,
a local auto body and paint repair
business he's helped grow to 36 locations.
Christoph von Riedemann (One to Watch)
Up-and-coming Ballet BC company
member, trained at Arts Umbrella
through a VCC partnership.
Gyda Chud (Lifetime Achievement)
VCC alumna and retired administrator
who continues to give back tirelessly
to the early childhood education community.
The Outstanding Alumni Awards were established to recognize the outstanding achievements of our graduates and non-alumni who have made a significant contribution to VCC and/or the local community.
