Tourism in BC (HOCR 0645)

This course provides students with an introduction to the tourist industry in BC. World geography, map reading, modes of transportation, multiculturalism, and typical tourist profiles are covered. Students review historically significant events, be informed of local attractions and festivities so that they can provide up to date information to guests. Local transportation and reading schedules are covered. Students also learn the names and locations of Canada's provinces and territories and their respective capitals. Significant political and local personalities are reviewed.
