Special Studies 1 (DNCE 2125)

This course involves intensive 2-week creation and rehearsal processes with four internationally acclaimed guest choreographers (respectively) selected by the Artistic Director. Students will master skills for the process of creation and rehearsal in dance and for performance. Dancers will refine skills for advanced solo, partnering and ensemble work. Dancers are expected to be able to master and refine choreography at the speed and level of a professional dancer. Dancers are also expected to be able to give creative input as requested and required by the choreographer. Professional-level technique, artistry and professionalism are required for success in this course. Emphasis placed on elite-level rehearsal skills, artistry, professionalism and performance readiness.
