Reflective Practice: Contexts for Curriculum and Instruction (ADED 3301)

Critically reflective practice takes place when instructors view their craft from four perspectives: personal history, students' experience, colleagues' perceptions and professional literature. This course provides opportunities for experienced teachers to reflect upon their teaching practice and to further develop and refine aspects of their teaching. Participants analyze their work in the context of both their assumptions and educational practice. The course sets the stage for participants to develop their own skills in the practices of reflection, using their own teaching situations as the basis for addressing concerns and issues about teaching and learning.
