Preclinical Prosthetics 3 (DENT 3007)

Complete Dentures: Designed to build on knowledge and skills learned in Semester 2, Preclinical 2.This course focuses on the knowledge and skills required for fabricating single dentures to opposing natural dentitions, immediate dentures, duplicate dentures, and arrangement of complete upper and lower dentures using semi-adjustable articulators. Towards the latter part of the semester some emphasis is placed on the introduction to dental clinic management and procedures.

Partial Dentures: Designed to produce an understanding of the function and the structural requirements of cast removable partial dentures. Emphasis is placed on the application of the theory and design features of Partial Dentures Part 1.
