Kodály Solfège I (MUSC 1101)

This course covers the Kodaly concept and methodology of relative solmization. Topics include the moveable-"Do" method (including the Curwin hand signs), reading, music theory, sight-singing, rhythm, meter, conducting patterns, inner ear, intonation, memory, recognition, musical notation, co-ordination of an ostinato while singing, and singing a part by oneself in a trio.
