Interactive Teaching and Learning (ADED 3401)

Interactive Teaching and Learning provides participants with the skills needed to instruct in the new adult classroom. Classroom populations have radically changed in colleges and institutes during the last 30 years. Today, our classrooms contain a large percentage of students from abroad and from non-traditional backgrounds. Some speak English as a second or third language; others come from cultures that are outside the mainstream of society. Students with physical and cognitive disabilities are now a regular part of the classroom environment. ADED 3401 will help new instructors to develop strategies that assist learners to master course content while developing students' language skills and the confidence needed to succeed in formal education.
