Cooperative Learning (ADED 3306)

Cooperative Learning introduces participants to social learning theory and its relevance to adult instruction through the use of formal and informal group work. The course enables educators to differentiate among different forms of cooperation and to determine the strengths and limitations of each. During this course, participants are asked to apply cooperative learning concepts and strategies and assess their impact and appropriateness. This course promotes critical thinking and analysis. Participants are asked to analyze how learning and instruction are conducted in their own classrooms and how cooperative learning strategies are applied.
