VCC Research Day

Open to all employees and students, this one-day annual event offers informative presentations on applied research and experiential learning. Topics include:

NSERC -Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)

Gluten inhibition study

In 2015, VCC was awarded a $200,000 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to conduct an applied research project to produce high quality sourdough breads, the characteristics of which naturally reduce gluten content.

President's Research Fund

The President’s Research Fund (established in 2018) offers an annual total of $10,000 in support for individual and interdepartmental research projects led by VCC employees.

Important dates

Application deadline for 2019/20 is 5 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019.
Successful applicants will be notified on Monday, April 1, 2019.
