Materials of Music II (MUSC 1203)

This course covers harmony and general voice-leading principles as found in Western European Art Music and pop/jazz music. Topics include diatonic harmonic vocabulary and then extending to secondary dominants, augmented-sixth chords, tonicization, modulation, pivot chords, phrase structure, song form, and small sectional forms.
