Learning and the Brain (ADED 3403)
Our understanding of the human brain, how it operates and how people learn have increased dramatically in the last decade. Brain researchers tell us that 90% of what we know about the human brain has been discovered in the last 5 years. Recent brain research has yielded important insights for educators that can assist us in making learning more "brain compatible". At the end of this course, learners are able to design and deliver adult instruction in a manner that is compatible with the latest research on how the brain learns and remembers.
