Jazz Theory I (MUSC 2115)

This course examines the interrelation between harmonic progression and melody in jazz and popular compositions using contemporary chord scale theory. Topics include the study of jazz/pop harmony, melody, musical form, and style through musical analyses and listening coupled with composition assignments.
