Collaboration Mental Health (NURS 3161)
This course focuses on therapeutic communication with the patient experiencing mental health disorders. Collaboration, interdisciplinary communication and therapeutic use of self is applied in the context of mental health. Examples of conflict resolution and post traumatic stress are utilized in which the nurse engages the client to promote mental health and self care. The image and identity of the nurse is explored in relation to advocacy and the role of change agent.
