Auto Service Tech Apprentice Level 1 (ATAP 1001)

Learners will work safely while providing general automotive maintenance services including lubrication and fluids, belts and hoses, exterior lamps, body trim and hardware, tires and wheels, non friction bearings and spindles and hubs. Additionally learners will assess, diagnose and service basic electrical systems, hydraulic, drum brake, disc brake, power assist and anti-lock brake systems, steering systems as well as suspension systems. Throughout the performance of these skills learners will safely and effectively utilize hand, measuring, and power tools while demonstrating employability, communication and business skills.
