Academic Orals Skills 3 (CPEN 0882)
This course focuses on the enhanced development of language and strategies for speaking and listening effectively in academic settings. Students give researched presentations, prepare for and participate in formal discussions related to contemporary topics. Students further develop academic note-taking skills. Pronunciation work and attention to grammatical accuracy are also components of the course.
- Completion of CPEN 0767 or equivalent with minimum 'C' grade, OR
- English Language Assessment (ELA) with minimums of 14 in essay, 40 in reading, 25 in speaking and 23 in listening OR
- Canada Language Benchmark* (CLB) 8 with min. 7 in Listening and in Speaking (*no CLBPT results)
