These elective courses have been designed for practising English as a second language (ESL) teachers. They are also appropriate for and of interest to people new to the field of ESL.
VCC welcomes applications from
Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
As Vancouver Community College is a post-secondary institution committed to
educating adult learners, applicants should be 18 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school.
Please note that you must submit official transcripts and educational documents to support your application; unfortunately, we cannot accept photocopies or fax versions.
Program Specific
Electives and general interest courses are open to anyone interested in the courses. Students do not have to be accepted into a TESOL credential to take a course. Please note: not all courses are offered every term.

Interested in the field of English as a second language and English as a foreign language
Good communication skills in both spoken and written English
