ELSA offers full-time and part-time English language instruction for immigrants to Canada at ELSA Levels 1 (including Literacy), 2, 3, 4 and 5. All students in these classes are sponsored by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development. Canadian citizens are NOT eligible for ELSA. Program Description
1. Full-Time Program (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)
This program provides adult immigrants with basic English needed to live and work in Canada. Classes are 25 hours a week. New students may enter classes at the beginning of each month depending on seat availability. Study lengths vary depending on the student's entry language level. Tutorials are available Monday to Friday.
2. Part-Time Program (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Literacy)
This program provides adult immigrants with basic English needed to live and work in Canada. Classes are 12.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday, in the morning, afternoon or evening. New students may start each month depending on seat availability. Study lengths vary depending on the student's entry language level. Additional tutorials are available Monday to Friday.
