The focus is on language and socio-cultural competencies required for success in the Canadian workplace.

Program Description

Students may choose to study full-time or part-time.

VCC's Professional Career English (PACE) department offers a variety of ESL courses within a professional context:

  1. English for professional advancement (EPA).
  2. Courses for career preparation and advancement, including English for Health Sciences 1, English for Health Sciences 2, Communications for Engineers and Technologists (CET) and the CELBAN preparation course.
  3. Combined skills, including ESL/baking, ESL/culinary, ESL/health care assistant.

These courses are flexible and individualized, incorporating online seminars in speaking, writing, reading and listening. Students may also access individual tutors.

General

VCC welcomes applications from Canadian citizens and permanent residents.


As Vancouver Community College is a post-secondary institution committed to educating adult learners, applicants should be 18 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school.

Please note that you must submit official transcripts and educational documents to support your application; unfortunately, we cannot accept photocopies or fax versions.
