Writing - UA (Half-time) (EASL 0672H)
In this half-time course, students develop specific skills in writing and improve their grammar to enable them to bring their writing ability in line with their other language skills. Students work on improving their control of sentence structure, on writing and editing longer paragraphs, on developing a more extensive vocabulary and on reviewing or relearning advanced grammar points. Students improve their accuracy and increase complexity in the written expression of ideas, thoughts and feelings in order to prepare themselves for further study which will enable them to use their prior professional or technical training within the Canadian job market. Completion of this course and the other skills at this level allow students to enter some vocational and academic training programs. Students completing this course and the other skills at this level will have completed the equivalent of English for Academic Purposes - Level 1, which is recognized at all BC public colleges.
Prerequisite: Completion of EASL 0670 Upper Advanced or equivalent
