June 2013 Convocation


Convocation ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Downtown campus. Gowning of the Graduands and receptions will take place at the Downtown campus; ceremonies will take place across the street at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Convocation FormIn order to attend the ceremony please complete the online Convocation RSVP form. This form will notify us of your intention to attend the ceremony.

If you are not attending Convocation you do not have to complete this form.

There is limited seating in the auditorium so please ensure you complete this form as soon as possible and no later than Friday, June 7, 2013. Please note we cannot accommodate more than two guests per graduand.

Photography
On convocation day, a professional photography service will be on-campus - Artona Studios - for graduates to capture and share the memory of their special day. Graduates can purchase photo packages on-site using cash or credit card. There will be spare gowns and collars to borrow, if necessary. The photographer will be set up in the Downtown cafeteria.


Flowers

Due to Vancouver Playhouse regulations, all flower bouquets must be 'checked' at the theatre's coat check at a cost of $2.00 per item and picked up following the ceremony. Flowers are not permitted inside the auditorium as they can be an irritant to other patrons and can present a safety hazard. Thank you for your understanding.

Are your loved ones unable to attend convocation? VCC has hired a professional videographer to capture the ceremonies and stream the video live on the Internet. That means your loved ones can share your special moment from anywhere in the world.

Archived video of the ceremonies is available for viewing.

You can also download the convocation archived videos using the following steps:
  1. Log in username: guestadmin || password: webevent
  2. Click on down arrow icon next to the title of the session and follow the steps.
  3. Save to location on your PC or Mac.
  4. Unzip or extract the resulting file
  5. Open folder and click on "player.html" to watch the session on your default browser
