Jewellery Art & Design 

Since 1988, VCC's jewellery art and design program has been instrumental in training a dynamic and entrepreneurial community of successful studio artists.

Come see the unique works of our students, which will be on display at the Downtown campus from May 9 to June 1.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Senior Dance Company Season Finale:

Season Finale is the culmination of months of exploration and rehearsal of bold and innovative works created for student dancers by prominent choreographers.

The performance is part of Arts Umbrella's Expressions Festival 2013 and will be the last opportunity for local audiences to see a number of graduates perform before they launch their international dance careers.

VCC and Arts Umbrella offer a unique dance diploma program. The partnership furthers the graduate program with academic classes in arts and culture, rhythmic training and professional business skills.

Block party!

On May 26, thousands of people will gather in downtown Vancouver to enjoy a fun-filled day of
free BBQ, arts and crafts, and live entertainment. Chefs cooking sausages.
 
Each year, VCC partners with Central City Foundation to host Fair in the Square. In 2012, volunteers served up more than 2,500 burgers, 2,000 cupcakes, 800 litres of lemonade and 225 kilograms of watermelon. The food is prepared by students and instructors in VCC’s culinary arts programs.

All are invited to attend (rain or shine) and encouraged to share Twitter photos from the event using hashtag #FairInTheSquare.

Be part of VCC’s movement to become a leader in environmental sustainability and join Metro Vancouver's Bike to Work Week.

Biking to school and work is good for the environment and it's great for your health. Studies show that people who cycle on a regular basis are healthier, more productive and take fewer sick days.

Cyclists are invited to drop by a campus commuter station for free granola bars, fruit and coffee. Plus, you could win raffle prizes.

The annual digital graphic design graduate exhibit is open to the public at VCC's Downtown campus. The theme of this year's show is Not Just a Pretty Type Face.

Over the years, VCC's English language services for adults (ESLA) programs have welcomed students from all over the world. Many have unique artistic abilities but limited means to showcase their work.

VCC's first-ever ESLA Art Show gives students an opportunity to express their creativity and share life experiences through art.

Models are needed for the 2013 Skills Canada competition at BC Place.

Get a free facial, manicure, body treatment or makeup application by a student esthetician who won provincial gold earning the opportunity to showcase their talents on the national stage. One VCC student is among the competitors.

It's time to celebrate!

During convocation ceremonies, VCC graduates will collect their diplomas, certificates and degrees and from there, embark on a journey toward an exciting new career.

Graduates planning to attend must RVSP online by Friday, June 7, 2013 and remember to include guest RSVPs (limit two guests per graduate).

Preparations will take place in the Downtown campus atrium, while ceremonies will be held at Vancouver Playhouse Theatre (across Dunsmuir Street).
